A highly collectable early electronic fishing bite detector, originally developed in the 1950s and manufactured by Auger. The Heron became one of the best-known early bite alarms and is an important piece of British carp and coarse-fishing history.

This example is particularly appealing as it retains its original box, separate cream battery/buzzer unit, Heron detector head, adaptor and original instruction leaflet, together with the original packing material shown.
